The Cowboys’ front office is on the lookout for a qualified receiving talent. As of now, it looks that they will have a contender eventually, as Deebo Samuel appears to be interested in moving to Dallas.

The 2022 offseason has been a major thrill for the receivers pool. With Davante Adams and Tyreek Hill receiving mega contracts, the WRs were the highlight this year. Although many receivers like AJ Brown and Deebo Samuel are yet to receive their new agreements. They have been waiting for their moment. The ongoing mystery continues to gather a lot of buzz.

The Deebo Samuel-49ers situation is brewing up to be heavily mysterious during the offseason. Considerable events, such as Deebo’s Brother spilling the grains, and Samuel’s dissatisfaction with the 49ers are driving the situation quite puzzling; leaving the WR’s fate in suspense.

Will Deebo Samuel head to Dallas?

According to ESPN’s Jeff Darlington, Deebo Samuel has asked the 49ers for a trade. While he did not disclose any in-depth intelligence, he did notify San Francisco regarding his decision. Samuel is in the final year of his four-year, $7.2 million rookie contract.

He reportedly liked a tweet where a user photoshopped Samuel in a Cowboys jersey. While this could be a casual maneuver, it raises the possibility that he might join America’s Team.

Over the last two years, Samuel, 26, has developed into some of the most potent offensive ammunition. The former second overall pick calls him a “wide back” because of his multiple responsibilities in Kyle Shanahan’s scheme, including slot and dash. With 1,405 yards, six touchdown receptions, and eight running title touchdowns, he set a new NFL single-season record for yards receiving by a WR.

The signing of Samuel, however, could provide the Cowboys with a true WR1 for Dak Prescott while they aim to go for the Super Bowl. While Cowboys COO Stephen Jones has stated that the team will continue to make transactions this offseason; Acquiring a star-like Samuel may go a long road ahead toward accomplishing that goal, despite losing Cooper and Wilson on attack and Randy Gregory on defense.
