After upsetting a young boy, Deebo Samuel came up with a problem. The fan was waiting for Samuel to pass while holding a white ball and a pen in a football camp. He approached the WR and requests an autograph, but Deebo declines and walks away. The clip went viral all over, making fans wonder about the WR’s denial.
Deebo Samuel and the sports management company FlexWork Sports commented on the incident. The WR tweeted that while he couldn’t sign personal possessions, every participant received a signed photo. He laid out his response in two tweets.
400 campers I wasn’t able to autograph personal items, but every camper went home with a signed photo.
Wishing everybody a happy and healthy 4th of July Weekend!

Deebo clears, “Hosting a camp in my hometown this past week was a real blessing, and the support was truly special. Thank you to the campers, parents, coaches, support staff, Spartanburg HS, and the city of Spartanburg. I am grateful for every single one of my fans. Unfortunately, with over 400 campers, I wasn’t able to autograph personal items, but every camper went home with a signed photo. Wishing everybody a happy and healthy 4th of July Weekend! Deebo.”
The video which was circulating shared just one part of the story. It is safe to say, Samuel and the sports management company did some damage control over the situation, which was getting traction.
Some Fans are still not happy after the justification of Deebo Samuel
Despite leaving out his statement, some hatred still surrounds Deebo Samuel. It did not compel some fans, and they laid out their thoughts on Twitter. Although, some came out in the athlete’s defense as well.
A user reminds professional athletes to keep in mind that the fans are the reason they can make as much money and gain as much fame as they do. He also asked Deebo to be a gentleman.
Ya he did. Once he got SHAMED into it!! Professional players should remember that all that money and fame that they enjoy is because of the fans. If that was an adult asking for the auto who cares, but a little kid. Come on! Have some class Deebo.

But a user came into defense and brings out the football camp’s rules. But another user did not see it justified to pay for just their kids’ name.
Imagine charging kids to write your name on their stuff 🙄

Two Twitter users lay out their points from their own perspectives.
It really wasn’t about not doing an autograph, but more that a young fan was brushed off like an annoying paparazzi…I been involved in FB Camps with Pro Players as special guest, so the limited autograph signings is understandable, at least to me..
