The San Francisco 49ers had one of the most confusing offseasons ever. While QB Jimmy Garoppolo remains a subject to observation, they settled one of their lingering troubles with Deebo Samuel because of the overloaded work. The interest becomes more curious as the WR called for a trade. Nevertheless, both side were able to agree upon a deal.
The offseason went all-in for the WRs who got lucrative deals. Deebo Samuel became the latest domino to fall for a big-money contract. The star ‘wide back’ and the franchise have agreed to a three-year contract extension. As per Ian Rapoport, he will now receive up to $73.5 million, with $58.1 million guaranteed. The contract keeps him till 2025 when Deebo turns 29 years old.
As per Niners Wire, Deebo’s guaranteed salary is the second-highest ever for a wide receiver. Only DK Metcalf of Seattle is above him at $58.2. Samuel becomes the sixth highest-paid receiver with an annual average of $24.5 million. The top five comprise Tyreek Hill, Davante Adams, DeAndre Hopkins, Cooper Kupp, and A. J. Brown.

The offseason became lucrative for the WRs, and even Deebo seems to get his wish after a rocky ride. He is now a part of the WRs list getting new deals since March. However, not all wideouts could stay. Tyreek Hill, Davante Adams, and AJ Brown had to jump ship to make a good living. However, Brown’s recent tweet may reflect frustration with the Tennessee Titans, who did not put cash into keeping the WR.
