Antonio Brown thanked his supporters

Well, there is nothing concrete as of yet. However, it seems like the 32-year-old wide receiver is calling it quits. A series of his recent Tweets suggest that he may be handing his gloves up for good.

Initially, he Tweeted, “Is it time to walk away I done everything in the game?!!

In a short while, he Tweeted yet again. This time he wrote, “at this point the risk is greater than the reward thank you everyone who been part of this journey i sincerely thank you for everything! life goes on 84!”

Then again, he Tweeted, “I came I saw I conquered mission complete Call God.”

These statements suggest that he may be looking to ride off into the sunset well before the upcoming season kicks off.

Antonio Brown has no deals currently

It’s still not clear if Brown would ever play again. Before his tweets came in, no team had indicated whether they are interested in getting him on board. The 32-year-old recently violated the NFL’s discipline and personal conduct policy.

He was involved in multiple off-field allegations that violate the league’s rules. It’s understood that no team was willing to bring in a player to their camp who could hurt their image in the future.

Trying times for the wide receiver

The Pittsburgh Steelers drafted Brown sometime back in 2010. Since then, he quickly became one of the best wide receivers that the NFL had ever seen. He led the league in terms of catches and receiving yards.

However, he was too wild a horse for the coaches at Pittsburgh to break in. Therefore, the Steelers were forced to trade him to the Las Vegas Raiders in 2019.

His time at the Raiders was riddled disappointments as he was enduringly benched following an offseason full of drama. Following this, he joined the New England Patriots and managed to play just one game before getting dropped again.
