The NFL off-season has always seen a lot of exciting trades happen. Every team tries to acquire a player which can go on and change the fortunes of a franchise for good. Moreover, every off-season has seen some or other trade that has been predicted to define the upcoming season. One of the players involved in trades like this is veteran wide receiver, DeAndre Hopkins.
While Hopkins has been a little cryptic about his trade in the offseason, there might finally be some clarity in terms of his trade. While the Arizona Cardinals haven’t confirmed anything, there have been some rumors running around the league. Hopkins might soon be catching passes and running touchdowns for Bill Belichick at Brady’s original stomping ground.

While Hopkins to the Patriots was one of the many speculated deals of the off-season, there hadn’t been a lot of clarity on this. However, some recent updates have made it clear that Hopkins to New England is all but a confirmed deal. There only seem to be two things holding up the deal. Interestingly, the main reason behind this is Bill Belichick’s hesitation.
DeAndre Hopkins to the Patriots should be a done deal and is bound to happen soon. Belichick is trying to not give up a WR back in that deal. He wants to keep Parker and Bourne. Compensation on the New England end is the hold up. They’ll find common ground.

While Belichick clearly wants Hopkins, he isn’t willing to give up too much for the receiver. While the deal might involve existing Patriots receivers, DeVante Parker and Kendrick Bourne, these two have become the main reason for the hold-up on the deal. However, the Patriots might look into a different method of compensation as the deal is very likely to happen.
Furthermore, fans themselves seem very interested in seeing how this deal goes for both teams. The news of the Patriots’ potential deal riled up fans on Twitter and they went on to react intensely.
