There might be a silver lining for the Denver Broncos finally. As a dreadful season comes to a close, the preparations for the next one are already in full swing. And they might land a legendary head coach to finally jolt the sleeping potential in the team. Sean Payton is in talks with the Broncos’ ownership just weeks after his Russell Wilson advice.

Payton can be a game changer that finally helps Wilson flourish at the Empower Field. And that would be the greatest news the Broncos country can hear at the moment, after being bruised and battered for all of 2022.

The Sean Payton relief for the Broncos fans

According to emerging reports, Super Bowl champion head coach Sean Payton is in talks with the Broncos to take over the vacant hot seat at the Empower Field. He talked to the franchise owners over a phone call. And there is an interest in going forward from both the parties.

The phone call comes weeks after Payton issued some advice to the Broncos QB Russell Wilson. That was during his appearance on the ‘Herd with Colin Cowherd’ recently.

“You correct flaws immediately, and then we don’t worry about how long the process is going to take. In other words I’d want to cutup today, I’d want a cutup of all of Russell’s pass plays of 30 or more yards from the field, and I’d want to see ‘Are there are some schemes that he felt very comfortable with?’,” Payton said, as reported by Saints Wire.

That will be music to the ears of both Wilson and the Broncos. So, the 2009 Super Bowl champion head coach is potentially coming to Denver. But can he turn Wilson into Drew Brees?
