The ex-QB has always wanted to inspire and affirm people who have been going through a similar struggle as him. With the help of Eve L. Ewing and Orlando Caicedo, Kaepernick has embarked on a journey to help those who might be going through similar experiences as him.

In the recent past, Kaepernick has spoken about the nuanced differences he has faced due to being adopted into a trans-racial household. He has spoken about a certain statement his adoptive parents have made and how they’ve impacted his journey of growing up.

Recently, he spoke on Twitter with Ewing about their new project. Kaepernick, with Ewing and Caicedo, released an interesting project in the form of a graphic novel. He spoke about the themes the book discusses. Furthermore, he also mentioned the difficulties of growing up in a household with parents so different from him. Furthermore, he went on to mention that the book helps people going through a similar journey identify with his story.

Kaepernick also went on to speak about the kind of hurt the closed ones can cause. Furthermore, he mentioned the perils to talk about this and said, “I think it’s because it is so it is very difficult. For people to have a nuanced conversation about the people that love you and also perpetuate very problematic elements.”

He made it clear that his book is meant to give those like himself a chance to identify with the storyline, especially the experiences he faced as a young transracial adoptee. Interestingly, the book Kaepernick has launched touches upon the nuanced themes that he mentioned through his own life story.

The storyline circles around the nuanced conflict he faced between pursuing baseball and football based on the element of race present in the sport. The young QB’s life in the graphic novel is driven by looking up to icons like Allen Iverson and the influence people around him have on his life.
