Not only fans, but the whole NFL league respects Aaron Rodgers. From players to coaches, everyone has something or the other to say about the Jets QB. The fact that he is still a fierce competitor at this age, even to the young talent, speaks volumes about his career as an athlete. Apart from Patrick Mahomes, the Buffalo Bills QB Josh Allen is also one of those people.
In the recent episode of The Rich Eisen Show, the QB talks about the team and their future. Amidst the back-and-forth conversation between Eisen and him, a lot of interesting information came out – one of them being the solid bond between Allen and the Jets‘ QB.

In his conversation with Rich Eisen, Allen reveals his relationship with Aaron Rodgers and how much he admires Rodgers as an athlete as well as a person. His on-court relations with Rodgers are no mystery, as we saw in the Bills Vs. Packers game last year. But did you know that the Bills QB is also Aaron Rodgers’ friend off-court?
“He’s an old guy now,” said Allen as Eisen and he shared a laugh.
Josh Allen also revealed that he and Rodgers text regularly, call each other, and play golf as well and that too very competitively. Allen admits that he grew up watching Aaron Rodgers and has learned a lot from him. Allen has closely studied Aaron Rodgers, his footwork, his release, and even the length of his arms.
“He’s pretty dang good,” mentions Allen in the conversation.
But that’s not all. Rodgers’ athletic career has touched the careers of many, including the Kansas City Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes. He recently admitted in a conversation with Chris Simms that while he was growing up, he was a huge Brett Favre fan, but as he got older, his focus gravitated more towards Aaron Rodgers.
It’s fascinating to see how Patrick Mahomes and Josh Allen went from being fans to facing Rodgers on the field. Especially Josh Allen who will face Rodgers once again. But this time Rodgers will be in a new jersey. A New York Jets jersey!
