It has been a busy few weeks for everyone involved in and following the NFL. Two of the most dramatic sagas of the offseason involving two elite quarterbacks reached their conclusion. While Aaron Rodgers got his wish to move out of Green Bay after 18 years, Lamar Jackson inked a mega deal with Baltimore Ravens. With all that now settled, all eyes are on the schedule for the 2023 season that looks to be coming out soon.

The NFL schedule announcement is one of the most anticipated events of every offseason. Both fans and players are always excited to know what their team’s grueling season would look like. Well, they won’t have to wait much longer. The league is gearing up to reveal the dates on a day that is just around the corner.

According to NFL Insider Adam Schefter, the league has already locked in the date to reveal the 2023 season schedule. He believes that the NFL is targeting May 11 as the day to do the honors. NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell will meet sports broadcasting Hall of Famer Howard Katz in an attempt to finalize everything.

Schefter also revealed that many more names are involved in the process apart from the commissioner and Katz. NFL VP of Broadcast Planning Mike North is the leader of the pack. The group is plugging all the holes to attempt and make a schedule that goes down well with everyone involved. Every team can play a maximum of two Thursday Night games, according to new rules, but who plays when will be a tricky thing to figure out.

Aaron Rodgers, Lamar Jackson, and the biggest sagas this offseason 

Everyone, around the NFL, saw two of the biggest sagas of this offseason unfold in the last few months. New York Jets were targeting Aaron Rodgers since the end of the 2022 regular season. After months of negotiations, the quarterback finally left the Packers on a blockbuster trade deal to be the main man at MetLife Stadium.

The Lamar Jackson fiasco with the Baltimore Ravens was equally interesting. It took both the parties more than a year to reach an agreement but when they did, Jackson emerged out of the room as the highest-paid player in NFL history. And the league knew that every team had their main players sorted by the end of the 2023 draft.

As the main characters of the 2023 storyline are now fixed, the league can finally tell the fans who plays whom and when.
