Brooklyn Nets star player Kyrie Irving 2020 was raging war against the media and the NBA. The NBA star had made it clear on his social media that he won’t talk to the media for the season for his own reasons. A few days after Irving made the statement, Lamar Jackson appreciated the efforts of the media personnel.

Lamar Jackson, while talking to the media, said, “I just want to respect you guys, I would want to be respected if I was doing your job.” Jackson praised the media and explained he calls the reporters by their names and titles as he respects them.

After the NBA fined the Nets Superstar, he took to his social media and called media a ‘pawn’. “I pray we utilize the “find money” for the marginalized communities in need, especially seeing where our world is present. I am here for peace, Love, and Greatness. So stop distracting me and my team, and appreciate the Art. We move differently over here. I do not talk to Pawns. My attention is worth more.”

In 2019, NBA fined Nets star Kyrie Irving $25,000 as he refused to talk to the reporters. In fact, Irving had given out a statement about the same and said he was releasing this statement so that his message was properly conveyed.
