It has been well over a month since Aaron Rodgers joined the New York Jets. The former number 12 of the Green Bay Packers took the NFL world by storm as he earlier announced the possibility of retiring. Turns out Rodgers was willing to entertain only two possibilities, either a trade to the New York Jets or hanging up his cleats. Fortunately, the Jets did indeed pull through and Rodgers found himself a new haven.

Aaron Rodgers and his four-day darkness retreat aided the 4x MVP in prioritizing his wishes. Soon he announced he wanted a trade to the New York Jets. The only other option was retirement, at least that’s what Rodgers alluded to at the time. After intense back and forth, the Green Bay Packers and the New York Jets finally reached an agreement.
With A-Rod treading on the doors of retirement and then returning for one more stint, another QB legend spoke on Rodgers and his abilities. Tom Brady retired and then unretired to rejoin the Tampa Bay Buccaneers roster. Maybe it’s the retirement experience along with years of competition against Aaron Rodgers that makes TB12 the foremost authority.
“I think he’s going to do a great job. He’s a tremendous player, a great competitor.” expressed Brady about A-Rod’s addition to the New York Jets. Brady further explained that the Aaron Rodgers trade must have brought around a sense of ‘fresh air and invigoration‘, something that A-Rod might have been lacking in Green Bay. Having competed against Aaron Rodgers over the years, Brady also went on to share his thoughts about the current roster.

“I have always kind of watched him and studied his mechanics and how he goes about things. But I think he’s gonna do a great job. He’s got a lot of talented players, a lot of young players that have a lot of speed and quickness.” Brady believes that surrounding Aaron Rodgers with high-IQ receivers is the best bet for the New York Jets. Even Rodgers’ best years relied on those receivers to a certain degree, and fortunately for A-Rod, the Jets have poached many from Green Bay already.
