The police and coroner’s report cleared the incident of any foul play and claimed the plausible reason for death as cardiac arrest. According to the Tippecanoe County coroner and the official police statement, the autopsy indicated a heart attack. The former fifth-round pick in the 2007 draft was a force to reckon with, for opposition defensive linemen in the league. In his last six years at Mississippi, Uche started 91 games for the Jaguars.
After his stint with the Jaguars, Nwaneri signed for a year with America’s team, the Dallas Cowboys. However, Uche didn’t get to start any game at Jerry World before retiring. Looks like the Jaguar blood ran in Uche’s veins.

Rest In Peace, Uche Nwaneri. @Chukwu77 played 7 seasons with the @Jaguars, 2007-2013, and forged a strong bond with the Jags fans that's remained to this day.
On behalf of the Jaguars organization and my family, our thoughts are with Uche's family + friends at this terrible time.— Tony Khan (@TonyKhan) January 2, 2023
Jacksonville Jaguars owner Tony Khan also left his message of condolence on Twitter for Uche’s close ones. And the entire NFL community prays for the well-being of his family after this untimely tragedy.
The Jacksonville Jaguars ex-guard was an outspoken individual and the Big Cats pulled through for him
Even after hanging up his cleats, Uche Nwaneri kept himself around the game he so dearly loved. Nwaneri ran his own YouTube channel, ‘The Observant Lineman,’ where he analyzed and dissected NFL games in a post-game review show format. However, he was fiercely loyal, and most of the games on his channel are Big Cats Jaguars games.
Uche was always famous for his outspoken and borderline brash remarks sometimes. In 2010, when the Jaguars considered getting QB Tim Tebow, Nwaneri vehemently protested and did so publicly. Moreover, he put out multiple controversial statements stating the lack of Tebow’s throwing abilities.
