“Entirely Ran the Show”: Former QB Feels Tom Brady ‘Bullied’ This 46 Y/O Head Coach in His Patriots Days

Former New England Patriots and Tampa Bay Buccaneers QB Tom Brady was a workhorse when it came to performing in the NFL. Throughout his years of playing the game, he has won 7 Super Bowl championships, out of which he has won 6 with the Patriots itself. He used to dominate the field with his plays. But now, another former QB suggests that Tom Brady might have run the show in the locker room too.

Former QB David Carr believes that Tom Brady had a major influence on the decisions taken by the Patriots during Brady’s playing days.

According to David Carr, TB12 did not just give his input to the team. But he entirely ran the show for the Patriots. Carr said that Brady would ‘bully’ Josh McDaniels, who was the offensive coordinator for the New England Patriots during that era. The QB would direct Josh on how to run the play on the field. Brady would suggest which set formation to play and what plays to run during their matches in the NFL.

David Carr said, “In New England, Tom Brady ran the show. So he was able to bully Josh and he would just say ‘this is what we are gonna do.’ If Josh said no, he would go to Bill’s office. If Bill said no, he would go to Robert Kraft.”

Tom Brady, along with the New England Patriots, was a dominant team of that era. The team had won 6 Super Bowls during Brady’s regime. Even if Brady did run the show entirely for the Patriots, he did so successfully, ensuring them a path to glory.

Even after retiring from professional football, Brady still manages to bring the limelight on himself. Voluntarily or involuntarily, the former QB becomes the talk of the NFL world even today. From alleged speculations that Brady might make a comeback to the NFL, to his divorce from ex-wife Gisele Bundchen, Brady has all eyes set on him.

In the end, no matter how things were in the New England Patriots with Tom Brady, their success during his regime was undeniable. Brady had a hunger for success, and he brought this hunger into the team as well.
