ICYMI: Odell Beckham Jr is a free agent now
Odell Beckham Jr is no longer a Cleveland Browns player. A league source told Yahoo Sports that the Browns had reached a deal to release Beckham. According to the source, the deal has been in the works since Tuesday night. As per the source, the Browns and Beckham’s agents were still discussing financial arrangements on Thursday. Once the formalities will get sorted out, it will eventually lead to the Browns placing Beckham on waivers.
Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk also was another source who confirmed Beckham’s release. On Thursday night, he claimed that the Browns want to release Beckham on Friday after reaching an agreement on a new deal. As per Mike, after “careful thought,” the team concluded it “is in the best interest of all parties concerned that Odell no longer plays for the Cleveland Browns,”
Packers’ Davante Adams wants OBJ to join team
Davante Adams recently spoke to the press where he answered a barrage of questions. One of the interesting questions he was asked about was his thoughts on OBJ potentially signing for the Packers. He replied assertively, with a sense of optimism.
“My hopes are up there pretty high,” Adams said on the possible addition. The wide receiver also took shots at the Browns by saying that OBJ will be certainly performing better with the Packers, which wasn’t the case with the Browns.

“I know what his mindset is. Based on what he just came from, he’d be happy to deal with whatever at this point. He had one catch for like six yards in his last game. I can guarantee you, we can get him more than that over here,” he slyly added.
