Monday night wasn’t the best of nights for Las Vegas Raiders’ wide receiver Davante Adams. Squandering a 17-0 lead, an embarrassing collision with teammate Hunter Renfrow in the 4th quarter to eventually lose 30-29 to the Kansas City Chiefs, really ticked him off. And to make matters even worse, a cameraman promptly walked right into Adams’ march of shame back to the locker room.

Next thing the world sees is Adams shoving the man with his full viable force. He sends the cameraman crashing into the ground, and along with it, invites severe backlash from the community. Some even predicted the NFL to hit Adams with a severe sentence, a hefty fine, or even a suspension. The cameraman even reportedly filed a police complaint against the Raiders‘ wideout. But after new angles of the incident have surfaced, it seems Adams might just not have to endure the shove.
Nearly 24 hours after the incident, a new angle to the incident has emerged. And it reveals that the cameraman was, in fact, the one on a collision course. Adams’ push is clearly a very instinctive move. After all, what else can one expect from a professional football player? Pushing and shoving is what they do on the gridiron and in practice most of their lives.
Although Adams did publicly apologize, it came a little too late for everyone’s liking. And the fact remains that he never directly apologized to the cameraman, not that we know of. Instead, using a post-game interview, and Twitter, to make his apology.
In the NFL community, too, some fans seem to have had a change of heart, while others reaffirmed their support for Adams. But then again, there will always be opposition to any event, and naturally, their presence is felt here too.
From this angle, I'm sorry. @tae15adams wasn't wrong. https://t.co/36i9BQqyNo

Uhh I’m pretty sure it take more effort to shove someone to the ground than it does to stop walking.

He was super pissed at the moment. Apologizing came as soon as he cooled off. Completely understandable.

Difference here from every day life is he’s in a hostile environment and his guard is up. People rush the field too often. In this game while walking into the tunnel at half, a fan threw a bottle at the raiders and numerous screamed racial slurs at them. My guard would be up too

….camera dude walked right INTO him…not the other way around.

Davante Adams has had a decent showing since joining the ‘Dark Side’ this season. Especially against the Chiefs, the Raiders’ receiver gave the Kansas defense a tough time. With former college teammate Derek Carr as his QB, fans expected a partnership like no other. But the pair have struggled to make an impact in their first few games, with Adams’ 29/54 for 414 yards not helping overturn games.
The Raiders now turn their focus to meet the Houston Texans on Monday. The Texans are also suffering from a similar spell of failures and will be hoping to turn their tides by defeating the Raiders. This will be the first time the Texans face off against the Las Vegas Raiders, their previous encounters being against the Oakland Raiders.

The Raiders, on the other hand, will be praying for better fortunes against the Texans, who currently have more H2H wins. But sensible odds will be on the Men in Black to win. More importantly, the Raiders will be hoping the NFL does not penalize Adams for Monday night. Will the Raiders have to ride out and face the Texans without their star receiver?
