Davante Adams’ contract with the Green Bay Packers is due to end this offseason, making him the most desirable free agent in the league. The Packers have showcased an enormous interest in retaining Adams. Despite the Packers’ best efforts to keep the athlete, the only likely answer would be to keep quarterback Aaron Rodgers in a big-money contract.

The Packers are striving to free up the salary-cap space to re-sign him. Although, the athlete’s recent actions have fanned speculation about a probable trade with the Raiders in Las Vegas.

Davante Adams’ Million-Dollar Asset Grasp

Davante Adams has recently become the new owner of a property in Las Vegas, according to Vital Vegas on Twitter. The property is valued at $12 million and is situated in the Ridges, a posh Las Vegas neighborhood. While the Packers star may be merely making an investment or probably enjoys spending time in Vegas, this action has fueled speculation that the wideout may sign with Las Vegas before the regular season starts.

Davante Adams’ chances appear to be even better because he is great friends with Raiders quarterback Derek Carr, with whom he played on the same squad at Fresno State during their collegiate seasons. The Raiders also have an enormous interest in bringing the athlete, as they would require a wide receiver as well.

What’s next for Adams?

It surely won’t be a wrong move if the star wide receiver made a sudden move in his career. Several teams are ready to make a deal if the Packers fizzled out in the upcoming days. According to Pro Football Reference, one of them is the Denver Broncos.

Trading for Rodgers and then signing Adams would be their ideal offseason scenario. If Adams tests free agency, the Las Vegas Raiders, Jacksonville Jaguars, and Los Angeles Chargers are all interested in him.

In 2021, Adams had arguably the best season of his career. He caught 123 passes for 1,553 yards and 11 touchdowns in over 16 games. His 72.8% catch per receptions rate and 97.1 yards per game were well above his career averages. Adams made his fifth Pro Bowl and was a first-team All-Pro for the second time.

Even though he purchased a property in Vegas, it’s not a full confirmation of him joining the Raiders in the upcoming season. As Adams has no say in how the Packers use their franchise tag this offseason.
