With all the news about the future of Aaron Rodgers dominating airwaves, it was only a matter of time that another Green Bay Packers star came out in support of his QB. Wide receiver Davante Adams extended his support for the QB recently, saying that he’ll back him 100%.

But what Davante had to say later on during this conversation is what will have Packers fans biting their nails. If Aaron Rodgers were to leave, would Davante Adams follow?

Davante was drafted by the Packers back in 2014 with their 2nd-round pick. The wide receiver from Fresno State endured a slow start to his NFL career but soon picked up his pace in 2016.

Since then Davante has made 4 Pro Bowl appearances and was even named a first-team All-Pro last season. And the wide receiver achieved all of this with Aaron Rodgers as his quarterback.

Thus when Davante was asked about his future being impacted by the situation of Aaron Rodgers, the wide receiver said it’s certainly plausible.

“Potentially. Potentially… That’s my guy. He’s the only guy I’ve had other than that 2017 season when he got hurt. That’s the only guy that I’ve played with,” said Davante during a segment of The Herd.

Davante further talked about the special relationship he’s built with Rodgers over the 8 seasons they’ve played together.

“We’ve built up a special connection over the years that has put us both in really good positions in our career… We’ve established a lot together.”

Thus the departure of Aaron Rodgers is definitely something that would impact Davante’s future with the franchise.

“It would change a lot, man. It doesn’t mean I’d be gone, but I’d definitely have to do some extra thinking if my guy wasn’t here,” he said.

Davante Adams’ contract runs out at the end of the 2021 NFL season. Thus if a contract renewal does not take place, one of the best wide receivers in the NFL would be on the free agency market.

All this can be avoided if the Packers organization settles their differences with Aaron Rodgers. The longer the standoff between the two parties continues, the more trouble will brew from other directions.
