Dancing With the Stars Diva Put Her Own Spin on Rihanna’s Controversial Super Bowl Performance

The Grammy-winning artist, Rihanna, gave a performance that fans could not stop talking about. Her Super Bowl LVII Halftime performance attracted almost 119 million viewers. Although fans had a lot of complaints about how she presented herself on the stage, it became one of the most talked about Super Bowl Halftime performances. There are a considerable amount of people and celebrities who expressed their satisfaction with Riri’s performance. One such celebrity to appreciate Rihanna’s performance was the ‘Dancing With the Stars professional dancer, Peta Murgatroyd.

The dancing diva not only expressed her adoration for the makeup mogul but also paid a tribute to her in her own fun and entertaining way.

Murgatroyd posted her own reiteration of the Super Bowl performance of Rihanna

The 35-year-old singer debuted her second pregnancy at her halftime show. Similarly, Murgatroyd announced in January that she is also expecting her second baby with her professional dancer husband, Maksim Chmerkovskiy.

Murgatroyd shared a video on her official Instagram account. She wore red sweatpants and a matching top and kept her baby bump bare. Her husband and their son Shai were dressed in white, just like Rihanna’s background dancers. They joined Murgatroyd in the video too. The trio put an entertaining spin on Rihanna’s ‘B*tch Better Have My Money.’ They danced and sang in the video.

She captioned the post, “We just couldn’t help it! Shai stole the show and [Peta Murgatroyd] lived her best life!” This is the second time that the ‘Rude Boy’ singer’s performance was recreated. 

Why was the bombshell performance deemed controversial?

Although this year’s halftime show attracted audiences, it was also a problematic one. That is because many fans complained that the star singer lip-synced and did not perform as well as she usually does. Additionally, according to a lot of people, the performance was too sexual in nature. Thus, becoming inappropriate for children.

Many acclaimed analysts bombarded her with negative comments. But there are acts from fans like Murgatroyd that show that Rihanna’s performance was not all bad.
