The much anticipated 2023 NFL Drafts are underway, and so far there hasn’t been a dull moment. With highly touted prospects Bryce Young and C J Stroud taking the first two respective spots, the Panthers and the Texans look better equipped than before. The most interesting were two running backs getting drafted before a single wide receiver, and yes this is the chaos in 2023. So, the big question is, who won the first round?
Like every other year, there will be certain winners and losers who emerge from the NFL Draft, and the first day drew a unanimous victory, as several NFL fans crowned a certain NFL franchise.

The NFL Draft is far from over, it’s just the first round, but already enough things have happened to keep fans glued to their screens. While the first four picks being quarterbacks was well anticipated, the order seemed to raise a few eyebrows. Most surprising was Kentucky’s Will Levis slipping in the draft, after being projected as a top-10 pick for the longest time. Similarly, running backs took center stage, as receivers and tight ends slipped down the board.
With all the swirling storylines, NFL fans seemed in unison as they collectively crowned the Eagles the winners of Day 1.
Biggest winner tonight?

One fan felt that the Eagles were clear winners, but Houston Texans were a close second, “Eagles for sure. Honorable mention the Texans. They had to give up way to much to get up to 3.”

While another fan echoed similar emotions.
Biggest winners were Texans and Eagles. It’s really not close
Biggest losers were Lions. So much draft capital and they used it on positions that were not needed— #FireWarde (@kmb421) April 28, 2023
One particular fan felt that the NFCE QBs had the roughest hand in the draft, “Winner: Damn hate to admit but the eagles got 2 top 10 players tonight and made a damn good dline an even better dline. Loser: All the NFCE qbs”

Biggest winners are Eagles, Texans and Patriots. Losers are Detroit, Green Bay and the Saints in my opinion

Most NFL fans believed that Philadelphia Eagles and the Houston Texans were the top two contenders at the end of Round 1. While the choice of losers varied thoroughly, there appeared to be a general consensus when it comes to either the Eagles or the Texans, but are these NFL fans in the right with their opinions, or is clouded opinion still a thing?

Did the Eagles win?
Philadelphia Eagles have made the perfect start to the 2023 NFL Draft. The defending NFC Champions had the biggest steal of the draft, nabbing away defensive tackle Jalen Carter at the No 9 pick, and had an equally enticing opportunity with the No 30 overall pick for outside linebacker Nolan Smith. With these two defensive additions, the Eagles find themselves in a better spot than they were before.
Additionally, the Eagles turned out to be extremely fortunate as teams walked away from Carter after the young phenom faced misdemeanor charges of reckless driving and racing. The fortune for the Eagles continued, as they only had to give up a fourth-rounder to ensure Carter lands in Philly.
