But that must have gone off a bit after WR Tee Higgins got a message from Damar Hamlin’s mother. Talking to the media before the week 18 clash, Higgins revealed what Hamlin’s mother told him in a conversation.
“Damar’s mom told me she’s thinking of me and praying for me and things like that,” Higgins said, according to CBS News.
Higgins then talked about his feelings when he learnt about Hamlin’s health firsthand from the safety’s mother. He said that the news made him feel better inside.
“And suddenly she’s telling me that he’s OK. And just all the positive stuff. I mean it feels good just knowing that he’s OK, he’s doing better, and it makes me feel better inside,” the wide receiver added.

Getting such a heartwarming message from Hamlin’s mother is surely a good boost for Higgins, who could not control his emotions during the hospital visit. The WR’s mother had to console him that fateful day just as the duo left the hospital. With Hamlin on the road to recovery, Higgins can finally fully focus on the upcoming playoffs.

The first question that Hamlin asked after waking up was not related to himself at all. All he could think of was about his team. Hamlin asked the doctors, “did we win?” This shows the commitment the young safety has for his team and the sport, even in these difficult circumstances.
