The NFL world is still not over what happened on Monday between the Cincinnati Bengals and the Buffalo Bills. After scoring with their first drive, Joe Burrow and the Bengals were looking good. However, a play early in the game resulted in a medical emergency. Bills’ safety Damar Hamlin took a hit from Bengals’ WR Tee Higgins. Unfortunately, the play led to a cardiac arrest for Hamlin. The player collapsed after getting up from his tackle. He then received CPR on the field, luckily the medical personnel were successful in resuscitating the 24-year-old. They then took Hamlin to a hospital where he still remains in critical condition.
Besides the horror-stricken faces of the players through the entire ordeal, Tee Higgins was seen shaken up so much that he needed consolation from his family members. A select few have completely shattered the player with criticism of foul play involving the freak accident. But a family member of Hamlin has come forward in defense of the WR.

The fans have also shown their support for the Bengals’ offensive player. These harsh accusations and criticism have disgusted most of the NFL world. Many believe there is very little that the WR could have done while playing the sport, which is all contact. Following this news, people on Twitter have joined Damar’s father in shutting out such voices.

I hope someone is checking in on Higgins to make sure he’s emotionally okay. He did nothing wrong but I imagine he’s probably feeling pretty bad about the whole situation. Praying for Hamlin.

Why did it start in the first place? It was a freak accident and instead of pointing fingers people just need to hope Damar pulls through

There is no doubt that Higgins would find himself in great devastation over Monday’s incident. Now, with all these people putting the blame on him, it can only be detrimental to his own welfare. The player should focus on the love and support from the community and should only hope for a speedy recovery for Hamlin.
