Aaron Rodgers has not had an easy time since he left the Packers. Reportedly, he angered some of his ex-teammates and fans who felt Aaron betrayed them by asking for a trade. He also hurt his calf in a warm-up drill at the Jets’ OTAs and had to sit out some practices. He said it was nothing serious, but who knows? And then there’s the pressure of playing in New York, where the media and the fans are tough and demanding. After all, again Rodgers might be in for more trouble than he bargained for.

The Jets might have to brace for another blow from 4x Pro Bowler. The four-time Pro Bowler RB is unhappy with the Vikings and could join one of the Jets’ fierce rivals. This would make Aaron’s job harder and the Jets’ mood sourer.

A four-time Pro Bowl RB, Dalvin Cook, will likely soon part ways with the Vikings. The team is reluctant to pay him $10.4 million this year and is exploring trade options. But finding a trade partner is difficult, as Cook’s salary is too high and he may not want to restructure his contract. Some teams possibly come on the front foot, if he hits the free agency market. One of them is the Dolphins, who could boost their offense with Cook and also annoy their division rival, the Jets. Cook has been a Viking since 2017, but his future is uncertain.

The Jets and the Dolphins have been bitter rivals since 1966 when they joined the American Football League. They have clashed for divisional dominance and played some classic games over the years. But the Jets have always come up short against the Dolphins, losing more games (56–58–1) and never winning a playoff matchup. And, the Jets seeing a new obstacle: the Miami Dolphins might bet on Dalvin Cook, who could elevate their offense to the next level. The Jets, who are in rebuilding mode, would have a harder time competing with the Dolphins if they land Cook. This trade could make the rivalry even more intense and frustrating for the Jets, who are still rebuilding their team.
