Elliott had been vocal about getting the free agent to Dallas in many instances in the past. “Hey, OBJ, man, we want you in Dallas,” said Elliott after a Dallas win on thanksgiving day. “All the stars shine brighter in Dallas. Look, we gotta do what we gotta do to get him. We need OBJ,” continued Elliott in his recruiting pitch to the free agent.

Zeke left unhappy after OBJ’s visit

As Elliott opted out of the game, the media were quick to react as they hounded him with questions about his absence. An agitated Elliott responded to the media, saying, “Damn, I can’t chill at the crib? If I went everywhere, y’all would be on my a** about that. So which y’all want?” Zeke had a point, as he would have received the question in a different form, even if he had attended the game.

However, OBJ’s trip to Dallas may have not been very successful. The Cowboys assessed his injury and things may not be looking too bright for him. As per reports, Beckham Jr. hasn’t fully recovered from the injury and could take longer to recover from it than expected. This will be a huge blow for Cowboys players who tried their best to get him to their team. With this report, OBJ won’t be available in January, which could mean teams will let him go even for this season.
