Odell Beckham Jr. was in Dallas recently to close in on his much-awaited deal. The Dallas Cowboys and owner Jerry Jones were persistent in getting the free agent’s signature. Beckham has been away from the league since tearing his ACL during the Super Bowl for the LA Rams. Apart from the owner, Cowboys players Ezekiel Elliott, Trevon Diggs, and Micah Parsons have also commented about the free agent’s supremacy.

As OBJ made his trip to Dallas for his free agent visit, he took to some entertainment for the evening. Accompanied by Cowboys players Trevon Diggs and Micah Parsons, OBJ attended an NBA game.
Odell Beckham Jr. wooed to arrive in Dallas
The esteemed NFL trinity attended the Dallas Mavericks game against the Phoenix Suns at the American Airlines Center in Dallas. As OBJ made an appearance on the jumbotron, Dallas fans rallied behind him as they chanted his name. This was in an attempt to convince the superstar wide receiver to land a deal in their hometown.
Beckham had the company of Cowboys stars while he missed out on a fellow Cowboys player’s presence. Running Back and friend of OBJ, Ezekiel Elliott missed out on the game.

Elliott had been vocal about getting the free agent to Dallas in many instances in the past. “Hey, OBJ, man, we want you in Dallas,” said Elliott after a Dallas win on thanksgiving day. “All the stars shine brighter in Dallas. Look, we gotta do what we gotta do to get him. We need OBJ,” continued Elliott in his recruiting pitch to the free agent.
Zeke left unhappy after OBJ’s visit
As Elliott opted out of the game, the media were quick to react as they hounded him with questions about his absence. An agitated Elliott responded to the media, saying, “Damn, I can’t chill at the crib? If I went everywhere, y’all would be on my a** about that. So which y’all want?” Zeke had a point, as he would have received the question in a different form, even if he had attended the game.
Ezekiel Elliott (who is on record as wanting OBJ to join #Cowboys) was asked why he didn’t go to the Mavs game:
“Damn, I can’t chill at the crib? If I went everywhere y’all would be on my ass about that. So which y’all want?”

However, OBJ’s trip to Dallas may have not been very successful. The Cowboys assessed his injury and things may not be looking too bright for him. As per reports, Beckham Jr. hasn’t fully recovered from the injury and could take longer to recover from it than expected. This will be a huge blow for Cowboys players who tried their best to get him to their team. With this report, OBJ won’t be available in January, which could mean teams will let him go even for this season.
