While talking with Britt Johnson in a video on the Dallas Cowboys YouTube channel, Williams reveals his hidden talents. He states that he was a basketball player in the past and fancies it as his hidden talent. While talking about who he will compare himself with, Williams adds, “I would say LeBron, but LeBron think I am betting LeBron.”
It is a promising sign for the Cowboys fans analyzing the potential of the former Ole Miss prospect. The franchise has been working on its plans to fill the defensive end position following a breakout rookie season for Micah Parsons. Williams will be removing the pressure from Parsons’ shoulders to jump between the LB and DE positions in hours of need.
Dallas Cowboys have plans in place for the 2022 NFL campaign
The selection of Williams with an important second-round pick shows how head coach Mike McCarthy prefers a traditional player at the DE position. While a partnership between Parsons and Williams could potentially happen, the Cowboys would like to maintain the winning formula. The franchise could also be looking to replace and fill Randy Gregory’s spot with emerging talent.
Even Williams was sharing his excitement at signing for America’s Team and donning the famous Dallas jersey. The Cowboys’ GM and owner Jerry Jones was also quite happy to draft Williams as he forecasts him to have the Parsons impact.
It seems Williams’ outstanding 2021 college season and the NFL Combine were enough to convince his credentials in the NFL.
