Dallas Cowboys fans must’ve felt like they were on a roller-coaster ride on Sunday night. The Cowboys trailed by 29-10 at halftime in their first home game of the season against the Atlanta Falcons. However, a brilliant all-round display in the second half of the game led the Cowboys to a thrilling 40-39 win at the AT&T Stadium. The standout performer on the night was seasoned quarterback, Dak Prescott.
The former Rookie of the Year award winner put in an impressive display to lead his team to the unlikeliest of victories. Prescott completed 34 of his 47 attempted passes against the Falcons. He threw for 450 yards and completed one passing TD. Besides that, he rushed for 18 more and had three rushing TDs.

Dallas Cowboys’ Dak Prescott proves why he is one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL
Prescott became the first quarterback in NFL history to pass for 400+ yards and rush for three TDs in a single game. Furthermore, he is the fourteenth quarterback in NFL history to rush for at least three TDs in a single game, and the first since Russell Wilson, who did it in 2012.

After throwing for 400+ yards on Sunday, Prescott equaled franchise legend Tony Romo with the most 400+ yards game in the team’s history with five. He can overtake the former Super Bowl-winning quarterback in that statistic this season. Cowboys owner Jerry Jones might just make Prescott one of the highest-paid quarterbacks in the league after tonight’s performance, and rightly so!
Here’s how Twitterati reacted to Dak Prescott’s magnificent individual display

The Cowboys next play Seattle Seahawks away from home in Week Three. Following that, they host Cleveland Browns, who registered a commanding win over Cincinnati Bengals earlier this week. Coach Mike McCarthy has a lot of work to do in the coming weeks. Fans will hope Dak stays fit this season because he will be crucial for the Cowboys from now on.
