The Dallas Cowboys kick off their 2021 NFL campaign against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at the Raymond James Stadium in Florida on September 9th.

Who will be their starting quarterback for the game? We still can’t be as sure. The belief is that it will indeed be Dak Prescott taking the snaps for America’s Team. But only if he is fit.

The star QB who recently signed on to a new contract extension missed the majority of last season after picking up a gruesome leg injury. Two surgeries and months of rehab later, Prescott finally looked set to take to the football field again for the Cowboys’ practice camp.

But within minutes of practice, Prescott complained about a niggle in his shoulder. The quarterback was taken off as a precaution and is yet to feature in any of the side’s preseason games.

While the Cowboys maintain that Prescott’s niggle is nothing but a shoulder strain, his extended absence from the field has had fans wondering. But recently, Cowboys owner Jerry Jones provided an update that should lift some spirits in Dallas.
