Dallas Cowboys have fallen short yet again in the playoffs. The last time they won a Super Bowl was Super Bowl XXX in 1995. The fans along with the owner of the franchise Jerry Jones, are very disappointed. Cowboys lost to the 49ers in the first round of the playoffs. The game ended with a score of 23-17. 

The fans were so mad that they started throwing trash on the field. It is sad to see such a promising season end this way. Jerry Jones has high expectations from the Dallas Cowboys, but the team couldn’t deliver.

The game against San Francisco

The Dallas Cowboys struggled a lot during the game. From start to finish, they were always trying to catch up to the 49ers. San Francisco played amazing football, and Dallas was trailing far behind. 

The first quarter was rough for “America’s Team.” They had no points on the board while the 49ers had a 10 point lead. By the end of the third quarter, the score was 23-7. The fourth quarter was even worse for the Cowboys.

Throughout the game, it seemed like all Dallas was just digging themselves into a deeper hole. But they kind of fought back in the last quarter of the game. Their offense was trying their best. But the defense kept falling short. Cowboys got 14 penalties for 89 yards. The officiating became the target for the fans. The fans tried to hit the bullseye with trash, but just like their team, they couldn’t hit the target.  

Jerry Jones is extremely disappointed in the Dallas Cowboys

The Cowboys owner Jerry Jones had high hopes for the season. They had a good regular-season record with 12 wins and only five losses. But Dallas could not deliver in the playoffs. After the game, some reporters caught up with Jerry Jones.

They asked him about the game. Jones said, “When you get this combination of players together, you need to have success.” He adds, “The whole thing is set up to take away from the best and add to the ones that need improvement. And personnel-wise, I think we have one of the best.”

The Cowboys owner still believes that his team is the best. Is Jerry Jones also blaming the officials for the loss, or will the Dallas Cowboys HC Mike McCarthy pay the price?
