Eugenia Jones came to know about it after a few years that Jerry had actually purchased it. This meeting marked the start of their relationship. After three years, they got married, and have been happily together since then.

When Jerry Jones bought the Dallas Cowboys, he was criticized for it. Jones purchased the Cowboys in 1989 for a then-record $140 million.
