One of the most acclaimed athletes in the league, Odell Beckham Jr., is expected to get a medical clearance soon. It seems the bidding war has already begun, and the Billionaire’s team Dallas Cowboys has started roping the veteran, with head coach Mike McCarthy spilling some beans on his interest to acquire the star.

A few weeks ago, the Cowboys entered the list of potential front-runners to recruit OBJ into the squad. His former team Giants, Green Bay, and Buffalo were the previous favorites, but looking at the current position of teams and winning probabilities, it’s safe to say Jerry Jones might go for the big move. Because a few days ago, as the trade deadline was approaching, the Cowboys were reportedly looking for the veteran wideout Brandin Cooks.
However, the franchise couldn’t reach a mutual agreement with the Texans regarding the deal, and eventually, it couldn’t bear fruit. Similarly, Jerry Jeudy from Denver was another prospect, but there weren’t any developments. So the intention is clear, the Cowboys are planning to go long this time, and a talent like OBJ would help them get to that point.
“Number one, we really love our receiver group, and I really like the balance of the veterans versus the young guys,” McCarthy told reporters Monday, analyzing the options.

“In particular to Odell, I’ve always been a huge fan of his. From Ben McAdoo, Joe Whitt [Jr.], all the guys between that I’ve worked with from the New York Giants and the Cleveland Browns, everybody has nothing but great things to say about him,” he added. Any team that recruits OBJ will utilize him as a prime weapon to bolster their second half of the season and eventually a Super Bowl.
What are the aspects Odell Beckham Jr. would consider choosing a team?
A few days ago, per Daily Mail, the reigning Super Bowl Champions affirmed that he has only three to four years left in the league. And thus wants to cement a new home with a franchise willing to sign him for a longer term.

No doubt the veteran will break records in terms of salary, but the results are guaranteed. One of the main reasons he mentioned was getting closer to his family. While he was playing for the Giants, it was quite difficult for them to constantly visit from Texas to New York. Back then, he had also mentioned his love for the team.

“All of my family grew up in Texas, so they are all huge Cowboy fans,” OBJ said. “I do not have any animosity, hate, or rivalry with them,” he added. Well, this time, the circumstances have also played a role in bringing him close to the city, and no doubt he is under the Cowboys’ radar.
