The Dallas Cowboys‘ 2022 season did not go as they expected. As every team does, the Jerry Jones-owned organization hoped for an appearance in the Super Bowl. However, the team’s journey came to an end prematurely in the Divisional Round. A lot of the blame for their inability to make it to the Super Bowl was associated with none other than their quarterback, Dak Prescott. Prescott’s performance during the 2022 season was definitely subpar. Even fans and some of his teammates had something to say. After such a performance, it seems like the Cowboys are looking for another QB to add to their roster.

It seems like with the upcoming draft, the Cowboys might be looking a lot closer to home for a new quarterback. They have reportedly been working out a quarterback from a university in Texas. It seems like they might give a chance to a quarterback that has been slightly overlooked by other teams.

While the Draft will begin in a few days, it seems like the Cowboys might be making their choice clear. Recently, the Cowboys went local with players they’ve been looking for. The disappointing 2022 season of Dak Prescott

While looking to bring in more quarterbacks might seem like an extreme reaction, Prescott’s last season might warrant such action. Prescott did not have a very impressive regular season or postseason in 2022. During the regular season, he had a total of 2,860 yards with only 23 touchdowns in 12 games. Furthermore, his postseason performance wasn’t any better. He had a total of 515 yards with 6 touchdowns and 2 interceptions. Sadly, the 2 interceptions came in the Divisional Round game that they lost against the 49ers. All in all, his performance seemed like he wasn’t able to perform in the most crucial moments.

With such underwhelming numbers, the Cowboys might be looking for other QB talent for their roster. It only remains to be seen if Prescott can change the mind of the organization with a redeeming performance in the 2023 season.
