Lance’s much-hyped trade was highly discussed earlier this month. However, Jerry Jones has fully thrown his weight behind the QB. Jones said “We expect Dak to be with us for a long time” through the official website. Additionally, there might be a contract extension in place for the 2016 NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year winner. Jones denied further speculations for the same until the season gathers steam. However, the team’s owner also sent a warning as he roped in Trey Lance ahead of the 2023 NFL season.

Dallas Cowboys pulled out a surprise move by trading Trey Lance from the 49ers. The 2021 NFL draft pick, was on the outlines looking for a new owner. Jerry Jones cashed in on this opportunity and brought the QB on board with the Cowboys.
However, to the team’s surprise, it was reported that Jones neither consulted HC nor Dak Prescott. It was a decision made by Jerry himself without going forth in consultations. Jones copped some criticism regarding the same. The Dallas owner recently replied to the trade saying “I didn’t have to send it around. I can make that trade in 5 mins.” Dallas owner stressed that since he’s the owner, he has the power to call shots and make quick decisions.
