The Dallas Cowboys’ loss to the Philadelphia Eagles was a disappointing turn of events. But fans now have a good news, one that will hopefully wash away the pain from the last game. The Cowboys’ star QB, Dak Prescott, is all set to make a return to the active squad.
Prescott suffered an injury to his right thumb during their opening game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. A surgery and 5 weeks of rest later, it seems the Cowboys fans will have their promised prince back. Prescott’s return will seriously strengthen the offense. The same offense that put up excellent performances, even with backup QB Cooper Rush at the helm.

Head Coach Mike McCarthy announced that the medical team has cleared Prescott to be a full participant in practice. The Cowboys are 5-1 in six weeks. Their only defeat was the season opener against the Buccaneers. And they face a 1-4 Lions this Sunday. Detroit, having only recently suffered a shutout defeat against the New England Patriots, has put up a staunch resistance in all of their other regular season games. So the Dallas defense will have to take pointers from the Patriots defense to keep the Lions in the den.
On the other hand, Prescott will find this game as a perfect opportunity to ease back into regular playing. The Lions field a defense that is already porous, and with the injuries they have, it seems likely for the Cowboys to put up high numbers. Either way, fans will be eagerly waiting to watch Prescott lead the Cowboys again. But will he start the game or Dallas will stick to their new favorite QB Cooper Rush?
