The Cowboys’ winning run continues, as they ran riot against the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday. In that game, the Cowboys’ star quarterback Dak Prescott performed incredibly, which was possibly his best performance of the season. Moreover, he achieved an incredible feat and joined an elite list, which consists of Troy Aikman and Tony Romo, the legendary quarterbacks of the Cowboys.
Notably, Prescott joined the Cowboys back in 2016 and has already achieved many things. Having had a brilliant season last year, many thought he had already achieved legendary status, but now he has surpassed many other franchise legends as well.

Then he hit another great touchdown pass to wide receiver Michael Gallup late in the first quarter, which saw him matching another Cowboys legend, Danny White, who was in third place with 155 touchdown passes. Then, in the second half, he made another incredible pass to Gallup in the end zone, which saw him surpass White’s record of 155 TD passes; now, he is in third place with 156 TD passes.
Notably, only two other quarterbacks are ahead of him now and they are Troy Aikman and Tony Romo; Aikman had 165 TDs in his Cowboys career and Romo threw around 284 TD passes. Prescott could surpass Aikman’s record this season; however, it will be tough for him to surpass Romo’s record anytime soon.

Prescott’s season so far with the Cowboys
It is worth noting that Prescott missed five games this season due to a thumb injury he suffered during the season opener against the Bucs. Then, he made his return against the Lions in the week 7 game, which they won comfortably. During his absence, Cooper Rush played incredibly and won multiple games for the Cowboys.
In terms of statistics, Prescott played 7 games so far and threw 1563 yards for 13 touchdown passes. Last season, he threw 37 touchdown passes, which was his best season in the NFL in terms of numbers. Now, the Cowboys will most likely get a wild card spot in the playoffs, as the Eagles are the favorites to win the NFC East division. However, the Cowboys will face the Eagles on Christmas Day, which will be an intriguing game to watch. If the Cowboys win that game, they will have a great chance to get the top spot in the NFC East.
