The Davis incident was not the first time a preseason match had been called off this year. Back in week 2 of the 2023 preseason, the Patriots took on the Packers as they prepared for the upcoming season. Unfortunately, the match would be cut short following an injury to Isaiah Bolden. The rookie CB was stretchered off early in the 4th Quarter which ultimately ended the match in the Patriots’ favor.
Bolden would eventually be discharged from medical attention after being evaluated at the Aurora Bay Medical Center. This will put many teams on vigilance as they hope to avoid injury scares following the preseason matches being cut short.
