‘Crushed’ Fans Offer Aaron Rodgers Their Achilles in Exchange for a Super Bowl

Aaron Rodgers, QB for the New York Jets, has had a tragic start in the first game of the season. The 39-year-old star player recently made the shift to the Jets from the Green Bay Packers. While the fans and the NFL world all had their eyes set on A-Rod as he made his way to the pitch, fate wasn’t going to be kind to him that night. 5-minutes into the game and Rodgers suffered a terrible injury.

The MetLife stadium was filled with a deafening silence after they witnessed the man in the number 12 green jersey go down. Now, fans are speculating that there’s a very good chance that he might never be able to play for the Jets again as it seems to be a critical injury. Jets’ fans were quick to chime in with their support for the Super Bowl winner and wished him a speedy recovery.

Rodgers suffered a suspected torn Achilles 5 minutes into the game after a tackle by Leonard Floyd of the Buffalo Bills. When the tragic news of the injury was informed, the NFL world went into a frenzy. The official Instagram account of the New York Mets released a post wishing him a speedy recovery. Below this, a fan commented, “Take my Achilles king I don’t need it.”The hilarious reply was liked by 2,000 people and had over 24 replies.

Another user wrote, “All good, we’re still winning everything then we will win with him next year too”

Another fan sorrowfully said, “Absolutely devastated. Never in my 20 years as a Jets fan have I felt like THIS. Please Aaron, run it back next year.”

Though most of the comments were about the recovery of Rodgers, some were quick to get into heated discussions about how Zach Wilson be taking over. Furthermore, the users talked about how he would be the one to lead the Jets to their championship win this season.

Aaron Rodgers’ Transfer to the Jets

The star QB requested a trade to the Jets after 18 seasons with the Green Bay Packers. He took over Brent Favre, in 2008 and was able to be a four-time MVP during his tenure. He’s had a really successful career no doubt but later this year it was reported that he was even considering retiring while as a Packer. Rodgers said, “I still have that fire and want to play,” and later concluded by deciding his intentions to be traded to the Jets.

With his excellent performance throughout his entire 17-year career, Rodgers has managed to establish himself as a household name. One of the top players in the NFL, he’s not done with football just yet. Hopefully, for the Jets’ sake, he’s able to come back and give the fans what they want- one last Super Bowl championship.
