The Kelce brothers’ 50th podcast episode was just like their usual ones. Both Jason Kelce and Travis delved deep into recent events from all around the sports industry, and especially their personal lives. As Travis talked about his recent golf tourney in the state-line Nevada, he also mentioned a professional boxer he ran into, Canelo Álvarez, who was present at the celebratory annual golf event.
While talking about the boxer’s peak physique, the Eagles’ man promptly asked his brother if he could take Álvarez in a boxing fight, and how he would beat the opponent. This led to the brothers revealing a detailed and strategic plan for their hypothetical attack.

As the brothers’ conversation swiftly shifted to boxing talks, the Eagles’ center initially asked Travis about a strategy for fighting an accomplished boxer. While the tight end murmured, trying to figure out an answer, Jason quickly chimed in, suggesting they have to take their opponent to the ground to beat them. Travis then added that grabbing the opponent’s shirt would hinder their ability to fight back. Jason then humorously revealed his own strategy of throwing an object at the opponent to distract them while he sneaks in to smother them, causing laughter between the two.
The topic then turned to fighting a boxer like Tyson Fury, whom Travis brought up. Fury, standing at an impressive 6 feet 9 inches, has been making headlines for an upcoming match in October. When the tight end asked how Jason would fight such a giant, he simply responded, “I’m not fighting Tyson Fury.” However, he soon proceeded to explain how he would use Fury’s height advantage against him by repeatedly hitting him in the knees, jokingly saying, “I’m trying to hit his kneecaps to cripple him.” He also mentioned how the “throwing object at the opponent” tactic could work to neutralize him.
Aside from these strategies, the Kelce brothers also pointed out several other methods Jason could use if a fight were to happen with a tall person like Fury.

Following his strategy of ‘throwing objects,’ Jason then proceeded to advise against immediately going for a takedown when the opponent is distracted but to use special methods to cripple them. The Eagles’ center explained how one could go for the eyes to cripple the opponent, to which Travis jokingly added that going for the ‘b*lls‘ would be even more effective. Travis also humorously mentioned how hitting someone like Fury in the eyes would be challenging due to his insane head movements. Jason added an old-play book move, suggesting the use of sand from the golf course to blind the opponent’s eyes and then take them down.
