When it comes to sharing his opinions, the former Washington Commanders player doesn’t hide anything. On his weekly podcast, ‘Stinkin’ Truth’, he candidly discussed the trade for Trey Lance to the Dallas Cowboys. The president and general manager of the Dallas Cowboys, Jerry Jones failed to involve the head coach, Mike McCarthy in the decision.
The quarterback for the Dallas Cowboys was also kept in the dark and wasn’t informed about the trade. Schlereth said in his podcast, “This is why the Cowboys will never win s**t because Jerry Jones can’t help himself.”
The Fox analyst also said that Jerry Jones went ahead with the trade without talking to anyone in his organization including his quarterback, his head coach, Mike McCarthy. This wasn’t professional, according to Schlereth. Jones also explained why he chose to trade for Lance and justified his decision.

Jones thinks the trade was in the favor of everyone
The billionaire, Jones, explained when asked about why the Jerry Rice award winner, Lance, was chosen for the trade and was not discussed much with anyone. After a victory over the Las Vegas Raiders last weekend, he explained the thought process that went behind the decision.
He added that Lance gives them the opportunity to do what they’ve always liked to do. Moreover, he would be a great addition to the team as there can be no one better than Lance himself to be in the room for Dak Prescott. He continued to add that they felt good about the player after the evaluation they had at the draft.
