While Jerry Jones and the Dallas Cowboys try to gather the best weapons for their quarterback Dak Prescott in this free agency, the signal-caller seems busy elsewhere. Keeping off-season training aside, Prescott went for the aesthetics instead and added some new body art off-late.
With more tattoos on his body than he can count sometimes, Dak Prescott added an elaborate one on his planting leg this time. However, each one comes with a reason. And this time, he chose to pay tribute to some of his biggest childhood sporting idols, his favorite celebrities, and a cartoon character.

After a season that ended with the Cowboys losing in the divisional round of the playoff to the San Francisco 49ers, their passer Dak Prescott decided to blow some steam off with added body memorabilia. Prescott followed his wide receiver CeeDee Lamb’s suit and visited Andres Ortega of Onder Ink in Arizona. Lamb got a back tattoo honoring Kobe Bryant recently. And Dak drew enough inspiration for a humongous work of art covering his entire right leg.
And this inking was all-encompassing. There is a moose to honor his brother, Jace, who committed suicide in 2020, and there is a pegasus to commemorate his late mother, Peggy. Besides the fallen family members, there is also a ‘Jumpman’ surprise for Michael Jordan and a black mamba for the late Kobe Bryant.

Also, there is a picture of Muhammad Ali. However, the odd one out from the pack has to be Daffy Duck, posing in Dak Prescott’s trademark touchdown celebration stance. With all the characters and emotions involved, it’s no surprise that it took Ortega nearly 10 hours to complete. But Dak did it all in one sitting.
This tattoo doesn’t feature in Dak’s top 3
The 29-year-old will flaunt his new tattoo this off-season. However, it will still not take the deepest spot in Dak’s heart. That is strictly reserved for three tattoos on his body. Dak dedicate the first two to his mother, who died of cancer in 2013. “One of my tattoos is in quotes, and it looks like handwriting, says ‘allow me to be your story,’ which is the words that my mom gave to me when she told me she was diagnosed with Stage 4 colon cancer,” Prescott told ESPN in 2019.

The QB even added her mother’s signature to the tattoo from a letter she had signed before her death. The second one is “a lion that says ‘pride’ above it. And it’s a cartoon lion that my mom actually drew. So, not knowing our last Easter together, my mom drives eight hours or so, just to see me while I was at school at Mississippi State,” he added.

The last one is the number ‘135’ inside the NFL shield logo on his right arm. That one is specifically crafted to remind Prescott of the 134 players who got drafted before him. Can Dak finally use his trademarked arms to lead the Cowboys to a Super Bowl?
