Alas, the time has come. The franchises make their selections, kicking off the 2022 NFL Draft. They all have completed their draft ratings, judgments, and big sheets. While the selections are supposed to be kept under wraps, Jerry Jones almost uncovers his Dallas Cowboys selections in front of the media.

The Draft has become an exciting portion of the off-season. Supporters are clutching their pearls in anticipation of seeing the ultimate “hot” prospect joining the roster for the conceivable future. Moreover, franchises will pursue every route, and swaps are inevitable as well. The Dallas Cowboys have the 24th pick overall in the NFL Draft. That provides Jerry Jones and company with much time and make a judgment.

It looks like Christmas came early for OT Tyler Smith, as he has been on the ‘Jerry Jones List of picks’. Although, the reveal came up 3 days prior to the 2022 NFL Draft. USA TODAY SPORTS’ Jori Epstein, who was present at a Dallas Cowboys media briefing breaks what the franchise owner/GM reveals. Just to prove a point, Jones wanes a color-coded sheet, which had the 2022 Draft picks ratings.

She mentions, “Jerry Jones told us the Cowboys rated OGs Zion Johnson and Kenyon Green below new Dallas OT Tyler Smith 3 days ago. Jerry held up a color-coded page to show us as proof.” She also mentions that Jones’ son, EVP Stephen, told his father to “Put that thing down!

Big Boss Jerry Jones appears to be willing to go to any length to make his case, including nearly disclosing his future Cowboys player.

Jerry Jones: let’s stick to the plan

Even after nearly popping the bubble, it looks like the Dallas Cowboys are staying with the plan; addressing their offensive tackle. Tyler Smith, a Fort Worth native, and a former Tulsa offensive tackle was brought in. They selected him with the 24th overall pick.

The athlete is one who competes with a measuring health mindset, including all the size and athleticism of a prospective Pro Bowler. At the combine, he weighed 324 pounds and stood 6-4, with 34-inch arms, 10 3/4-inch hands, and an 83 1/8-inch wingspread. He timed the 40-yard sprint in 5.02 seconds.

The Cowboys’ starting offensive line presently consists of left tackle Tyron Smith, Tyler Smith, center Tyler Biadasz, right guard Martin, and right tackle Terence Steele. OT Smith, who turns 21 this month, is probably the draft’s youngest offensive lineman.
