3-time Super Bowl champion Michael Irvin thinks Mahomes is in a league of his own. “You can say what you want. This dude is different,” the former Cowboy said. The Kansas City Chiefs beat the Tennessee Titans 20-17 on SNF because Patrick Mahomes doesn’t take no for an answer.
Are the Chiefs solely dependent on Patrick Mahomes?
Patrick Mahomes beat a Tennessee Titans side with Derrick Henry as the rushing back. And Mahomes didn’t just throw, he ran. King Henry was unstoppable with two walk-in touchdowns. Pat Mahomes threw for 446 yards in 68 attempts and many think the Kansas City Chiefs are relying too heavily on their quarterback. Additionally, Pat also rushed for 63 yards that included a running TD. Irvin thinks that’s untrue and Mahomes does what he does because he can.
“No they are not asking too much of him. He is the greatest. I believe he is going to be the greatest to ever play the position. Because he is God,” MI said.
Patrick Mahomes has not been as comfortable in throwing the ball off late after wide receiver star Tyreek Hill left for the Miami Dolphins. Tight end Travis Kelce was the receiving yards and reception leader against the Titans, leaving Juju Smith-Schuster and the other receivers behind.

Mecole Hardman was the only receiver with a touchdown. Michael Irvin related to the offensive issue. Irvin was a wide receiver playmaker for the Dallas Cowboys and was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2007.

Mahomes brought the Lombardi Trophy to Kansas after fifty years and was the youngest Super Bowl MVP in NFL history. The man with the golden arm has more than 21,000 passing yards already this season and leads the league in touchdown passes. With Josh Allen and Lamar Jackson having a great season, it’s up to the Kansas quarterback to trump his competition. And he does that effortlessly at times.
