The Dallas Cowboys’ hopes of overturning their defeat to the Green Bay Packers by beating the Minnesota Vikings might be in peril. In a match that many consider being extremely tight, the Cowboys will hope they have all the pieces they need to edge their opponents out. But it seems the Cowboys’ fans will have something to be afraid of as they head into their next game. That being their star defensive man, DeMarcus Lawrence, sitting the game out.
The issue first came to light when Lawrence missed Wednesday’s practice with the team. The Cowboys listed him as suffering from a foot injury, one that no one had caught wind of before.

During Thursday’s press conference, coach Mike McCarthy shrugged off the concerns, saying, “Just being smart with him. The intent is for him to play Sunday.”

McCarthy’s ‘cool reply’ led many to believe the injury was just a minor one and the absence from practice was just a precautionary measure. But then, Lawrence went ahead and missed Thursday’s practice as well, which raised many eyebrows. Lawrence’s interaction with reporters cemented the fears that were already up and about: the injury is no longer just a minor one.
“I got a little injury with the foot – both feet, actually – my knees. It’s just all about just trying to maintain what I have but also take care of me throughout the week, so I can be fresh to go out there on Sunday and do what I need to do.”
DeMarcus Lawrence confirmed an injury scare but said he will play against the Vikings
He went on to confirm his present injury is a sequel to the one he suffered last season. “Yeah, it does connect with last year’s injury. I just think over the [course] of the season, just all the banging and stuff, [might’ve] fractured it a little bit more. I’ll be alright. I got screws in it, so it’s hard to say if it’s fractured or not.”
But Lawrence doesn’t look like he is even going to consider sitting out Sunday’s game. When asked if he still plans on playing against the Vikings, he said, “Of course, fam.”
For someone suffering from multiple injuries, he seemed calm and confident- unlike many fans who expressed their concern and frustration on Twitter.
I’m sorry what? If you have a broken foot you aren’t supposed to play. Doctor over here

Those sentences don't fit together and make sense.
If he is that banged up he needs to sit for 3-4 weeks, heal up and let Micah have the edge

Why would he publicize the injuries? For an excuse if he doesnt play well or luring the Vikings to target those injuries 🤔

Can he miss a game then? I’d rather have him at a higher percentage if that sitting out will do.

This week, the Vikings bring a strong passing and rushing game against the Cowboys. If the Cowboys start without Lawrence, it could prove catastrophic for them. The next few days could very well decide the game before the first snap even happens.
