Dak Prescott, since entering the NFL, has been burdened with massive expectations. Getting drafted by a team like the Dallas Cowboys is always an honor for a young player. Moreover, when you are asked to take over from a great quarterback like Tony Romo, it gets even more challenging.
That’s what Dak did, and so far, he has been able to do it quite well. The franchise has also shown their trust in him, and they gave him that massive contract extension. However, it wasn’t the same earlier. Cowboys owner Jerry Jones was quite skeptical about Prescott replacing Romo. Even after Dak played well during Romo’s absence due to injury, Jerry didn’t hesitate to fire shots at Dak after a poor performance.

Dak Prescott was quick to respond to his owner. He stepped up and never looked back. During an interview, Dak revealed what went through his mind during that tough situation. He said, “Uh another doubter, um whether he meant it intentionally or whether he was just trying to raise another man up, it was just another doubter, because I’ve done so much for this time, and you’re still questioning that.”
Dak added, “That’s right, but to give him a little bit of credit he’d saw what Tony had done, so I think of that as well so that’s what allows me not to have any personal attention to a guy because I always try to see out of their eyes see their perspective but for me it was just hey it’s another doubt and I can’t wait to make you eat those words…”
Dak Prescott was the 135th overall pick in the 2016 NFL Draft. Considering that, he has done a great job for the most popular team in the National Football League.

Dak Prescott has more doubters to prove wrong next season
Coming back from a major injury last season, Dak Prescott had a decent season. Even though the Dallas Cowboys faced an early exit in the playoffs, they made a huge step in the right direction.
Prescott will have to step up in big games next season, which he was unable to do last year. If he is able to take the Cowboys to a deep run into the playoffs and win big regular-season games, many of his critics will be shut down.
