The latest update on Cooper Kupp‘s hamstring injury is extremely devastating. Due to the injury sustained during the preseason training camp, the wide receiver had no choice but to take a few weeks off. And from the reports, his status for the upcoming matches has been deemed uncertain. The Los Angeles Rams are now more cautious than ever and have put him on the IR list.

The wide receiver who has the potential to excel on the field and exhibit outstanding performances is now crestfallen. After sustaining the injury during the preseason games, Kupp was considered day-to-day and it was highly expected that he might miss a few weeks. And, that was not wrong. The WR is indeed going to be missing a few games in the 2023 regular season.

Cooper Kupp had mentioned that he’s doing his best to get back on the field as soon as possible. However, it seems like he would require some more time now. Now due to his lingering hamstring injury, the wide receiver has been transferred to the injury-reserved category. The Rams’ head coach had stated that Kupp would not be back on the field until and unless he’s deemed match fit. Alas, his injury has now impelled him to miss at least four upcoming matches this season.

Kupp’s injury holds the possibility to hold him out for more than just four matches this season. Come what may, the latest he is expected to make an appearance on the field is by the 5th week of the 2023 season. Coach Sean McVay has stated that the WR’s injury is “a little bit out of the norm” than what he previously mentioned to be a “muscle strain”. Thus Kupp’s injury appears to be severe enough to impel him to hold out of so many matches.

As disappointing as it seems, Kupps’ absence is also a very critical concern when it comes to the Rams’ performances. A lot of questions arise regarding the matter especially if the team is going to execute an efficient presentation without their main WR.

What is the LA Rams’ plan to make up for Kupp’s absence?

Without Kupp, the Los Angeles Rams will have to readjust their match strategies to strive for victory. Having some other strong players to fill the void works well as a strategy. Not to mention, the team has a strong roster and some exceptionally skilled players.

The Rams are going to be playing against the Seattle Seahawks in their first week of the regular season. It goes without a doubt that their usual offense will be affected without their key offense player. Thus, they will need to dig out and plan a few more methods to strengthen their offense game. Players like Van Jefferson and Robert Woods are most likely to get pressured to make up for Cooper Kupp’s absence.

The fans and the team are hoping for Kupp to recover as soon as possible and honor the field once again with his presence. The wide receiver is working on his rehabilitation to get well soon and hopefully, he might recover sooner than expected. What do you think?
