Cooper Kupp: From Zero Offers to Super Bowl MVP
The Super Bowl LVI MVP had a challenging time during his high school days, as he didn’t receive a single offer to play college football. Three weeks after graduating from high school, Eastern Washington reached out to Cooper; presenting him with an offer, to which he agreed.
In a post-game media conference, reporters interviewed Cooper Kupp, questioning if he still thinks of that phase when he had no offers in high school.
He reacted in all-praise by saying: “I don’t really think about it. It is just a part of my journey. You know; I was supposed to go to eastern Washington. I’ve met so many great friends, so many guys from my time at eastern that were standing up there with me in my wedding. Lifelong friendships. even people; just the community in Cheney, Washington. I was able to make relationships there. It was a special place for me to be.”

Moving further, he said: “I was surrounded by some really good people, some receivers and coaches that taught me a ton, challenged me, and pushed me. I was where I was supposed to be. I don’t have any regrets or feel any grudge towards anyone. I’m just thankful for the path I’ve been on.”
