Los Angeles Rams star Cooper Kupp has had an incredible 2021 season, and it was a delight to see the wideout set free on the field on numerous occasions. Kupp has stood up for his team when no one else did. And now that the season has come to an end, his contributions have finally paid off.

Cooper Kupp came up with an emotional acceptance speech for his OPOY

The 28-year-old wide receiver won the 2021 AP NFL Offensive Player of the Year Award, which was well deserved. Kupp, during his acceptance speech, couldn’t be more humble and expressive towards God and his loved ones. “I’ve been in some pretty crazy situations this year about the most uncomfortable have been all year,” Kupp said“Man, God is good.”

The beast receiver made a special emphasis to his wife and kids for being his supporters and was grateful for their devotion towards him. “I’m not sure where my wife is sitting, but I just want to thank her. She is my inspiration.”

Kupp added. “I wanna thank my boys, June (Cooper Kupp Jr.) and Cypress. They’re just my motivation… My family who’s been with me from the very beginning, the support they’ve shown me.”

He then finally called out to his teammates and other players in the NFL for making the game interesting for him. “I’ve got my teammates and my coaches who have made it an absolute joy to come to work every single day,” Kupp continued. “I’ve loved it. And then I mean to the people here, the people sitting in these seats, you guys, I mean, you make work so much fun. So competitive. You make this game so great. Thank you to each one of you for your work. Thank you, guys.”

Cooper a force to reckon

Cooper surely deserved the OPOY award and was truly a force to reckon this season. He led the league in receptions (145), receiving yards (1,947), and receiving touchdowns (16). Furthermore, this was his first OPOY award in his time in the league. However, it was not just the award that he had bagged this year. He is also named in the Pro Bowl and the First-Team All-Pro for the first time in his career.

This was the first time that the wideout has risen to such a spotlight in his career, and he cannot be more thankful for it. But it all boils down to the Super Bowl. He will now face the wrath of the extraordinary Bengals on the 13th of February for the Super Bowl LVI.
