Dak Prescott and the Cowboys are over the moon. After a close game that ended in defeat against the Green Bay Packers, owner Jerry Jones was a frustrated man. But, the Cowboys came back with vengeance by taking down the Minnesota Vikings 40-3. Not many saw this victory coming, especially after Minnesota’s exhilarating win over the Buffalo Bills. The Vikings who were 8-1 before the game, were taken down a peg and, quite frankly, humiliated by the Cowboys.

This victory has done more than put a smile on the Cowboys owner’s face. Jones took it up a notch by stating that the Cowboys are Super Bowl contenders. The idea is not far-fetched. Dallas is behind their divisional leaders, the Philadelphia Eagles, by two games. With their victory over the Vikings, the Cowboys successfully took down the only other team in the conference, apart from the Eagles, with more wins. Jones said, “I sure do think that what I see out here right now is the team like that you could go get a Super Bowl with.” The Cowboys owner unequivocally believes in his team’s chances this season.
Dak Prescott agrees with Jerry Jones’ Super Bowl hopes
Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott also has faith in the team’s shot at the Super Bowl title this year. When asked about his team owners’ statements, Prescott emphasized that he was convinced before. Jon Machota, from the athletic, tweeted the quarterback’s statement. Prescott said, “I was convinced before. … We’re just trying to continue to build. We laid a brick last week, a pretty good one. But we’ve got to turn the page…make sure we do that again Thursday.” Prescott’s confidence in the team is not surprising, especially after their well-rounded performance against Minnesota.
The Cowboys have their fair share of woes this season. Injuries followed by other injuries have made appearances in some of their best and brightest. Defensive Player of the Year hopeful Micah Parsons is also dealing with injuries ahead of their next game.

Prescott is in pursuit of the Super Bowl title and a certain wide receiver
The Cowboys have also intensified their push to bring star wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. on board. The team has not been subtle in their pursuit of the free agent. Jones made a breakthrough statement when he confirmed a potential OBJ visit, but a date has not been set. Dak Prescott has also made his desperation for the wide receiver known. The quarterback has contacted the WR himself.
The Cowboys will take on the New York Giants in an epic Thanksgiving Day game. Will Prescott be thankful for Jones’ ‘unequivocal’ confidence in his squad, or will the quarterback succumb to the pressure that weighs on his shoulders?
