Ben Roethlisberger is one of the most legendary quarterbacks in the NFL, and he has fans even among rival franchises. One of those fans is from the Netflix’s Tiger King fame Joe Exotic, a Cincinnati Bengals fan. Exotic was looking for Big Ben’s autograph so that he can gift it to his stepson for his birthday.

The message of the ‘Tiger King’ was shared by his lawyer John M. Phillips through a note quite recently from his prison. Exotic has been in prison since 2019 after his alleged attempt to hire men to kill his rival, Carole Baskin. While it is likely that Big Ben knows who Joe Exotic is, the latter was sending a letter with a humble request.

In his note, Exotic states, “I promised him an autographed jersey by you because he thinks you are the s*** and he holds you on a pretty big pedestal. There is one on eBay, but I don’t have the $600 to buy it for his birthday. My fans helped get everything else he wanted. I’m just missing your jersey.”

Will Ben Roethlisberger oblige?

While Joe did end his note pleading with Ben honor his request and grant his wish. He adds that Big Ben is his stepson’s hero and believes he will be helping a man fighting for his freedom. While there hasn’t been any news of what Big Ben might do, he might oblige considering he has retired from competition.

The former Steelers QB announced his retirement in late January after playing in the league for 18 seasons. The 5-time Pro Bowler ranks 5th on the all-time passing list with 64,088 passing yards behind legendary QB Brett Favre.
