It is a new beginning for 4X MVP Aaron Rodgers. After spending decades with the Green Bay Packers, fans will be seeing the 39-year-old QB making his debut appearance for the New York Jets in the 2023 season after being recently acquired by the franchise. But Rodgers is not only known for his role as a QB in the league. In fact, he also holds a reputation for finding himself in the midst of controversial discussions taking place. From his Covid vaccination remarks to the use of Ayahuasca, Rodgers does not fail to raise the eyebrows of fans with some of his choices in life.

Now, the 39-year-old QB finds himself being questioned once again. During the second OTA of the Jets, Aaron Rodgers felt a little pain in his calf, after which he decided to sit out from the practice sessions. But despite these claims, one NFL analyst feels that it might all be a facade, a way of covering up Rodgers not wanting to take part in the OTAs.

Religious watchers of the UNDISPUTED show know that Skip Bayless is a self-proclaimed Tom Brady superfan. He even took personal shots at his co-host and ex-NFL star Shannon Sharpe to defend Tom Brady back in December. And now, the 71-year-old sports columnist has come forward to talk about how he’s not on board with the idea that Aaron Rodgers is missing OTA’s with the Jets because of suffering from a minor calf blip.

During a recent episode of the UNDISPUTED, both Sharpe and Bayless were talking about Rodgers’s recent interview with the Athletic. In the interview, the QB admitted that offseason workouts are “completely ridiculous”. He also went on to talk about how he won MVP despite missing OTAs with the Packers. This led to Bayless feeling “skeptical” about Rodgers missing OTA with his new team. He stated, “I said I am skeptical that he has a calf injury. I think they are just saying that because he’s just not showing up at the OTAs.”

Rodgers is still the star of the show

During the practice session for the team on Wednesday, we saw Aaron Rodgers throwing 50-yard passes to a Jets staff member. He was wearing a compression sleeve on his strained calf while advising and giving instructions to young wide receivers about how to run specific routes. The OTA also saw Breece Hall rehabbing from his surgically repaired knee. While his throwing arm looks to be in good shape, Aaron Rodgers’s attitude has impressed the other players on the team during practice. His long-time Packers teammate Randall Cobb, who also signed with the Jets, stated that the 39-year-old QB had a certain “freshness” attached to his Jets training.

While Aaron Rodgers is set to return for proper practice next week, fans will be hopeful for their team to lead them to Super Bowl glory in the upcoming season.
