Every year, college football produces the next big entities of the NFL. This year, another name has risen to the scene. USC Trojans’ quarterback has dominated through and through. Sophomore, Caleb Williams, transferred to USC after a year in Oklahoma. He felt no nerves getting along with his new team as he adapted immediately and has been a stellar addition to their offensive unit.
The Trojans’ quarterback has had a great year, throwing 37 touchdowns against just 4 interceptions. He was rightfully given the Heisman Trophy for his brilliance throughout this year’s season. However, post his achievements, he made a bold statement that a lot of fans did not welcome.

The Heisman trophy winner took part in the Pac-12 Championship game earlier this month. With a hamstring injury he picked in the championship game, Williams was ruled out as the Trojans lost to Utah.
The newest Heisman trophy winner: Caleb Williams
Even with this fate, Williams made a bold claim as the football community compares the 20-year-old with one of the best QBs in the game. “I don’t think there’s anything that I can’t do that he’s doing out there,” said the budding quarterback, referring to Patrick Mahomes.
While he has the numbers that prove his excellence in the NCAA, the young quarterback might be getting a little ahead of himself. Drawing self-driven comparisons with one of the best QBs in the NFL while being a college sophomore is quite a hot take. Though the NCAA is the gateway to the NFL, Williams must understand the jump from college football to pro football is a leap of its own.
Rough start to the big boys’ club
With this bold statement, the NFL world didn’t hold back. They gave him a taste of what it is like to be in the big boys’ league.
These fans gave their opinion on Williams. They feel he was getting way too ahead of himself.
He wouldn't be top 20. As would be true of pretty much any college sophomore ever.

This fan doesn’t wish the best for Williams as he doesn’t appreciate his attitude and approach.
I hope he’s a bust after this quote. Kids need to learn some humility these days!

This fan called out the poor character on display from the young quarterback. They think they should judge the Heisman trophy on the overall personality of an athlete.
Thought character was a Heisman judging point. Guess they removed it.

This fan didn’t hold back as he brought out the stat book to compare the facts with the Kansas City Chiefs QB.
Lotta talk for a guy who lost to Utah twice. Don’t tell me about his D. Mahomes has never had a good D he puts the team on his back and drags them to the big game every year. I haven’t seen that outta him yet. Prove it.
