NFL athletes might be passionate about football but are also into other sporting endeavors. One example is Tom Brady, who is active in the golfing world apart from his regular profession. The latest edition of The Match would feature Jordan Spieth, Tiger Woods, Rory McIlroy, and Justin Thomas. Tom Brady was in the previous installment twice and teamed up with the iconic golfers. But the Bucs’ QB1 had a definite statement for the latest participants.
Tom Brady tweeted, “Awesome night under the lights for [The Match]. Excited for the next installment where you guys come run 1v1s in full pads [Face with Tears of Joy emoji] [Jordan Spieth] [Rory McIlroy] [Tiger Woods] [Justin Thomas].”

Tom Brady’s feat in front of the golfing legends was quite daring. Football’s physicality goes over the limit and does not match the sport of golf. It would be strenuous for the golfing legends to pad up and blitz routes.
Tom Brady is no stranger to The Match and appeared in the 12-hole tournament in the fourth and fifth editions. The fourth edition had Phil Mickelson, Bryson DeChambeau, Aaron Rodgers, and Tom Brady. Moreover, in the fifth edition, the NFL QBs collided when TB12 and A-Rod went against Patrick Mahomes and Josh Allen. The Pharaoh kept his golfing skills on display and is an upcoming star in the game.
How good of a golfer is Tom Brady?
TB12 is the all-time great in football. But his ambition for other sports, such as golf, is well known. He appeared on the putting green and displayed exemplary driver skills. As per The Sporting News, TB12 had a handicap of 8.1 before 2021’s The Match alongside Phil Mickelson. However, his handicap was the second-highest in the June 2022 installment, edging Allen‘s 9.0 handicap.

The Pharaoh’s arm power is something that stands as an advantage. He can put up some power in his swings at the putting green. He wasn’t as good as he is now. But practice made the man perfect, and he could edge out his opponents in the June 2022 edition.
